I haven’t pulled out my Papertrey Ink Green Thumb stamp set in a LONG time!!!! I wanted to try Lisa Johnson’s ribbon technique (see previous post) so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. I got my inspiration from the Mojo Sketch Challenge. I used the PTI Ripe Avacado Saddle Stiched Ribbon for this project. Now I told you mine wouldn’t hold a candle to hers, and I was right! But hey, at least I tried! 🙂 The dry embossed the flower and then sponged over it using my sponge dauber in Ripe Avacado. I do like the way that turned out.
Used my cute PTI Bitty Dots paper that I just can’t get enough of. I heat embossed the boot in Ripe Avacado, HOWEVER, there was some left over Pure Poppy on the stamp, so we got a nice mixture of color there….
It turned out quite pretty. Used some of my left over ribbon as the stem for the flower.
I hope that you like it…

This card is so cute Laurel!!! Love it. The ribbon looks awesome too. Maybe I just need to do that on all my cards instead of bows! I love your shoes in the background too. 🙂
Such a cute card and you’re right – the ribbon is fantastic!
Very cute, love the shoes!!!
Oh sooo true, nice job incorporating the ribbon treatment, tfs
