It’s World Card Making Day 2010! As soon as I saw the Off the Wall Craftiness challenge this week, I jumped at the chance to make a card. I woke up early today, too early, so I made this card. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors on this challenge. Just perfect… I stamped the striped background. What you can’t see is that I also sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist. It gives off this amazing sparkle in person. I then added two different shades of Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background color. I really like how this turned out. I won the adorable Hero Arts floral plate from Anita. I colored the floral image with copics and added glossy accents over the top. So, did you make anything for World Cardmaking Day? I’d love to see it. Link it in the comments section!
Stamps: Hero Arts Stripes Cling Stamp, Hero Arts Cling Floral Plate; Lawnfawn Harvest Season (sentiment); Versafine Vintage Sepia; Tim Holtz Distress Inks (broken china, tea dye); pop dots; copics; Glossy Accents
This card is uber pretty, Laurel! I love the colors that Kim chose for the challenge- hoping I can play too. 🙂
What a cute card! Love those stripes, and your combo of mist and distress inks is fabulous. Bet it looks even better in the real. Thanks for sharing and happy WCMD.
