I was inspired by so many challenges! When I saw Lawn Fawn’s Happy Hauntings set, I knew I wanted to take that house and create a winter themed card (I foresee making lots of Christmas cards with this image)….
I heat embossed the snowflakes and then applied heavy amounts of distress inks to create the background. The house and trees were colored with distress inks and the baby penguin was colored with Copics. I created snow by adding a combination of stickles and flocking powder. Be sure to check the supply list below… I stamped “Let it Snow” on vellum and adhered it to the textured paper.
I’m submitting this to one of my favorites, the Lily Pads resist challenge sponsored by my favorite online retailer and the only place I buy online, Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for stopping by. Your comments mean the world to me and have truly compelled me to continue making cards!
Oh nice! That house is so versatile. Can’t wait to get one to play with too. I like that you combined 4 different stamp sets too, It is awesome how LF sets work together. And I love the textured snow & the snow on the house, very smart. Flocking would make great snow! Going to have to try this sometime.
That IS a very cute house, and it looks sweet in your winter scene! Thanks so much for joining us at Lily Pad Cards!
Such a fantastic winter card! Your distressing skills are out of this world, that tree looks like it’s out of felt or something else textured! Awesome!
I’m loving what you’ve been doing with that house Laurel!!! So cool!
This is so cool! You rock with this set 🙂 And you combined perfectly elements from 4 different sets, I love combining Lawn Fawn sets. Great winter card, Laurel, thanks for sharing 🙂
