Winter card just for the hang of it

By Laurel on October 16, 2012

Hi there everyone! This morning, I set aside time to just make something for the hang of it. No dt commitment,  no challenge entry, just me sitting down to make something. I pulled out one of my Penny Black stamps (I fell in LOVE with the penguins) and put on an episode of Prison Break on the ipad and got to stamping. Here is what I came up with:

The sky was created using distress inks and liquid applique for the snow! The adorable row of penguins were colored with copics.

I never thought to use liquid applique for the snow until I saw it on someone’s card this past week (wish I could remember who)….. I also did some water flicking on the background as well. It is quite pretty in real life!

Thanks for stopping by today! Tomorrow I’m back with another Simon Says Stamp challenge and the winner of the giveaway!

Good job of playing just because! I do that too, it’s still play time, you know?

Adorable card, such a great idea to use liquid appliqué for the snow! Hope you’re having a great Tuesday 🙂

Laurel, this is super cute. I’m jealous that you could carve out time to “just stamp”. I need to find some time for that! Thanks for sharing.
