Distress Oxide Heat Embossing Techniques

what would I do without you card

Today I have a very clean and simple card with a little heat embossing and ink swiping! I used just one stamp set and a few inks to create this card. To add a bit of texture, I did all my stamping and inking on white linen cardstock. I stamped the florals from the Loving Thoughts stamp set with Versamark ink and heat set it with Silver Pearl embossing powder.

Then to add some color, I simply swiped some ink onto my card panel using two Distress Oxide Colors (Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber) and stamped the sentiment (which I adore)! Easy peasy!!! 🙂

Hi Laurel ~ I L.O.V.E. this card!! Everything about it is wonderful. The use of the linen paper makes a huge, yet subtle, statement after being ink-swiped. Such a cheery card made with those yummy Oxide inks. Thanks for sharing. ~HUGS~
