Hi guys! Nothing crafty for you today. I am in Houston visiting with Christian’s family before he leaves on deployment……
First off, I shot a gun! That’s right! The hubs took me to a shooting range and after about an hour and several different gun options, I mustered up the courage and shot a 22.
And here are the boys shooting their manly guns, and quite big guns I might add
Later that afternoon, I got to meet up with the cute, sweet and tiny Vera Yates for some fun! We started out meeting up on Friday for some shopping fun.  I have heard all about this place called Archivers for a long time, so Vera and I met Gretchen up there. Now before I share that picture, let me premise this story by saying that I took some migraine meds prior to meeting up with Vera. They had some nasty side effects. Combine that with the motion of riding around in the car and well, let’s just say Vera made me hold a plastic bag in my lap the entire time I was in her car, which thankfully I didn’t have to use. First stop was the HEB next to Archivers for some bananas, then Archivers…..
I was able to muster up the strength to pose for a picture with my cute peeps!
Vera was kind enough to take me back to her place to rest. I was amazed by her craft room! So many wonderful things to play with, and I didn’t play with anything other than her cute pug Eli!
WAH! Next time, I will definitely craft in her craft room…
The next day, I was back to normal so sweet Vera drove out to Spring to pick me up and we went for pedis and just hung out, plastic bag free! Â We went with matching purple sparkly toes…. One of my favorite pics from the day (yea, camera was a little too close for comfort)-
And of course, Lucas needed to sneak in for a pic!
Thanks Vera for the fun!!!
We are currently in San Antonio staying at a very nice resort complete with a water slide and lazy river! We were going to hit the river walk last night but a little 6 year old boy who will remain nameless really needed to GO TO SLEEP!
So hopefully we can find a cooler time in the day and head down there!!!! And hopefully we can get some family photos because I am typing this, I realize we have NONE SO FAR!!! 🙂
Hope this non crafty post didn’t bore you! I’ll leave you with one final pic of Lucas and his new little friend Bogey, a miniature poodle mix that belongs to my mother in law. He is the sweetest dog and I am seriously contemplating getting a little dog for Lucas in the next year…. Maybe I will come to my senses when I land back in Florida!
🙂
