Welcome to another Saturday challenge here at Wee Memories! It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s blog hop time!!!! You should hopped on over to me by way of Giovana!!! Today’s challenge is a fun one and definitely one for everyone!! 🙂 Do you have a favorite technique? Well, that’s the challenge! Create a project showing us your favorite technique!!! We are sponsored by Unity Stamp Company and the winner will receive a free stamp set! 🙂
Today is also World Card Making Day! Do you plan on getting crafty today??
Guess what else?!? Thursday was National Coffee Day 2011? Oh yea. I LOVE coffee! I drink DECAFF so I can have coffee any time I want!! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Coffeemate’s Peppermint Mocha Creamer! It used to be seasonal, but last year they made it a regular flavor sold throughout the year! YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA!!!! So for this challenge, I just HAD to make a coffee card using some of my favorite techniques…. Distress inks, scoring and paper piecing….
I used LOTS of supplies on this card so be sure to check out the supply list below. Click on each picture to be taken directly to the product, (don’t you just love inlinkz). I received some new products from my recent Simon Says Stamp order and immediately put them to use on my card. I used Picket Fence distress stain over the stamped alphabet background (LOVE BY THE WAY) and combined it with some Tea Dye distress ink and I LOVE the look it gave! I also scored the card base using my Scor-Pal and used my Scor-Pal and Scor-Buddy to make the coffee sleeve! Do you have a Scor-Pal? If not, you should! It’s amazing. I did a quick product review video here. The patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup. And that cute little coffee tag? I picked it up from somewhere and I can’t remember where but I love it!
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the Wee Memories blog for the full details on the challenge!!! Next up on the hop is the fabulous Laurel Seabrook!
Love your card! You are definately a pro at distressing! I am not a coffee drinker, but I am a peppermint-a-holic, so that could be a way for me to drink itmi think!!
