Hi there! Today I’ve got a few cards to share with you all. I’ve been practicing up for the upcoming watercoloring for cardmakers online card class… I pulled out my various watercoloring mediums and played around… I filmed the final results so you can see the textures and finished cards, but I’ve also got a few still shots to share with you here as well… First off, the video. You can watch it here or over on my youtube channel. If you like what you see, please give it a thumbs up! 🙂 By the way, the sentiment on all of the cards was heat embossed with clear embossing powder….

And now for some still shots…. Here are all 6 cards I made with different watercolored backgrounds….. Above each photo, I will list what watercolor medium I used to create the background.
Distress Ink pads:
Distress Ink pads and pens:
Faber Castell Gelatos:
Koi Watercolors:
Inktense Watercolor Pencils:
Tim Holtz Distress Refills:
As I mentioned in the video, if you are interested in seeing videos on how I made any of the cards, just let me know which ones in the comments below and I’ll be happy to film… I’m always on the look for video idess… I just wasn’t sure if you would be interested in seeing me make the same card 6 times over even though the backgrounds were made differently, lol!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a blessed day! 🙂
Goodies used:
I would be happy to see videos for all of them. Love the backrounds.
I love your backgrounds. If you are not completely happy with the texture the Inktense Pencils leave behind, try taking the color directly from the pencil with your waterbrush. Have a beautiful Sunday.
Your backgrounds look great Laurel! I think my favourite is the one with distress reinkers and would love to see a video demo…I can just imagine the mess I would make! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for the video. It was interesting to see the different looks you got with the different products. Seems like a great way to get a quick abstract background that’s fun to create!
Wow!! I just love all of the different ways you created watercolor looks!! And seeing ten side but side is so cool!! Love the inkers one!!
