I recently upgraded to the 36 count Gansai Watercolors. NOM NOM NOM! That is all I have to say….. I love the pearlescent white and the two shades of gold and the extra colors I get in between! They do offer a 12 count and a 24 count as well for a lesser price. I wanted to color some flowers! I don’t have a good flower stamp set except for this one, which is absolutely amazing, but unfortunately not available any more. The store closed its doors! But I just had to use it anyways. It’s fantastic! It’s by Deasy Designs. I thought after she closed down the clear stamp side of the business she kept the digital side open, but I can’t find it anywhere. If you are interested in the digital format of this stamp set, let me know and I’ll contact her for more information.
Back to the watercoloring, the colors just blend together flawlessly! After I colored the flowers and allowed to dry, I went in and create a sky… So easy to do, and actually quite relaxing. Watercoloring is far more forgiving than alcohol marker coloring (Spectrum Noir, Copics)…. And if you look closely, the flowers have sparkle to it. That’s because I used the pearlescent white watercolor over the top! The sentiment was heat set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder, the EP that goes with EVERYTHING! LOL.
So there you have it! I am practicing at watercoloring as much as I can. I love it and want to get better at it! I have some amazing friends that are so talented so they are my muses!
Thanks for stopping by today!
