Hey there! Today I am back with the Foiled Fox showcasing these two watercolored village scenes and wait till I tell you how easy it was to create these. Visit their store or blog for loads of inspiration. For today’s cards, I used the the Santa’s Visit stamp and some watercolors. Let’s look at the first version (and my personal favorite).
I inked up the Santa’s Village stamp with Versafine Onyx black ink, sprinkled on some black embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. Then I added some soft watercolors throughout the village.
My second card, I scribbled on different color watercolor markers directly onto the stamp, spritzed lightly with water and stamped. I added a little bit of water to move some of the watercolor on the trees and then added some color to the hills (light grey color).
A close up…
And don’t forget the giveaway:

Oooh! Love these, Laurel!!!!♥
Oh my goodness! These are so pretty! I love the look of watercolors for this image! I am definitely adding this stamp to my wishlist! I can see it becoming a regularly used image! Birthdays, anniversaries, just because and Congratulations are all events that this would be good for because we are a family of hunters. Both of our sons’ girlfriends have taken up the sport too so we keep introducing the sport to newcomers!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards and the chance to get my hands on this image beforeI am old and gray! LOL Too late because I am already old and gray! 😁😆😅😂🤣☺️
I like both versions. I like how the colours turned out with the markers. Lots ideas for coloring there
I like both cards, but I think I like the embossed one the most. It is hard to let the watercolour just do what it wants to, but the result is almost always stunning.
Oh so beautiful!! I haven’t tried the scene cards yet, I think they make me nervous.
Just amazing! Thank you for showing us techniques that can help even us begginers make gorgeous works of art! If I had not read how easily you created these scenes Id have surely thought it would be impossible to make these myself. This goes to show if you have a great detailed stamp you can create magic! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
So pretty! Love the effect! Both are wonderful!
Beautiful winter scenes! So pretty with the watercoloring! Love all the detail in the stamp!

These are beautiful Laurel! And I agree, the first one is my fav too 🙂
Laurel, love your beautiful cards. Wonderful scene and your water coloring is fabulous.
The watercolour cards are beautiful, they have so much tiny details & they are still clear, soft colours of the paint, just beautiful scenes, thank you for showing them x
Wow !! You’re so talented !!
These are both so very pretty Laurel. The PB scene stamps create such lovely festive/winter cards but your colouring really brings a gorgeous soft and Christmassy feel to them. Lovely work!
Such a beautiful scene!!
