Hello Hello! It’s Friday, which means the weekend is almost here! This week was filled with a week of no running around! Last week was my son’s last week of school compiled with many doctors appointments for me trying to figure out what in the world was wrong with me after seeing one doctor that was a complete waste of my time…. Luckily, those appointments didn’t interfere with my son’s school schedule and I was able to head up there for party day and spend some time with him and his friends! I LOVE doing that and I haven’t been able to as much these last two years… I cherish those times with him because soon he is going to be like, drop me off 8 blocks away so no one will see you. Sigh.
Back to the card! Today’s card is a simple one. I picked up this gorgeous stamp set by Penny Black not to long ago after seeing it on Jill Foster’s blog! It is gorgeous. I love the floral arrangement and all the layering of the images! When I saw it, it was a no brainer for me. I colored the images with my favorite watercolor pencils, the Art GRIP® Aquarelle’s by Faber Castell Design Memory Craft. I am color challenged so these pencils are right up my ally. These little guys have a glued barrel so no breaking (SCORE) and are comfie to hold because they have these little dots on the triangular barrel, which also means no rolling around all over your table, lol! They are permanent and waterproof when dry so you can add more color on top of the dried color if you want.
If you look closely at the bottom of the card, you see????? Yup, the stitched border! It’s one of the new Lawn Fawn dies from the last release! I am digging that die set. Those little borders can really add some pow to your cards! I added a skinny strip of washi along that top that I saw out of the corner of my eye. My desk always has weird little this and thats on it, lol! I really should invest some time and clean… Nah. That’s no fun!
Enjoy your weekend!
