Hello!! I’m here today with two cards that I made for the current Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge (inspirational photo at the end of this post). You may have already seen this inspirational photo earlier this week because Ellen Hutson is teaming up with Altenew and participating in the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop! They decided to use the Pin-Sights Challenge photo as inspiration for their creations. Be sure to check out the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop post for a chance to win even more prizes!
The Pin-Sights challenge is an inspirational themed challenge that is on the 3rd Thursday of every month! A randomly selected participant will win a $5o gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store, so please feel free to play along!!!! In honor of the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop, I decided to pair some Essentials by Ellen products with AlteNew products! I chose a coffee theme! Why? because I love coffee and I make lots of coffee cards, lol!
For my first card, I heat embossed the images from the Altenew Coffee Love stamp set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The images were watercolored with the Kuretake Gansai watercolors. The sentiment is from the Essentials by Ellen Oh Frappe stamp set.
I love how the gold sparkles against the watercolors. After I watercolored in all the colors, I went over the entire panel with the pearlescent white color in the same watercolor set.
My second card features the same stamps sets! I used the coffee beans from the Oh Frappe set as a background and added a little bit of stitching detail with the Essentials by Ellen Stitching Lines die set. These images were colored with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to play along in the challenge! And here is a look at the inspirational photo! Swoon! Aren’t those colors simply stunning?
Such wonderful cards, Laurel. Love how you’ve created one in bold colours and one in soft pastels.
Beautiful card. I really like the gold embossing with watercolor.
Stunning cards!
beautiful!!
That settles it! I have to have that set from Altenew! Thanks for making that decision easy for me. I like those out of the box colors for a coffee-themed card.
Gorgeous card Laurel! That Altenew set in on its way to me finally! Thanks for the inspiratrion!
