Watercolor Stripes: Right at Home Stamps + Catherine Pooler Ink Blog Hop

By Laurel on April 19, 2018April 19, 2018

I’m delighted to be creating with Right at Home Stamps AND Catherine Pooler inks today as part of a super fun blog hop!  Right at Home not only has an adorable line of stamps and dies, but now they are carrying Catherine Pooler inks, which I believe is a fantastic pairing!!!!

Both of my cards feature the Watercolor Background stamp. I love those bold, uneven, thick stripes!!!! I inked up the stamp with Seafoam ink, spritzed the stamp with water and then pressed my cardstock onto the stamp (didn’t even use watercolor cardstock). Then came the snails, lol! How cute are these snails….

The snails, sentiment and heart all came from the mini Handmade by Me.  Rainbow snails… LOL! Why not…. Oh how I wish I had some tiny googly eyes, lol!!!! Black and White diagonal striped background finished off the design nicely.

The next card reminds me of a unicorn. I have no idea why. Maybe the blending of the ink colors… I didn’t plan it that way. I just blending some colors I liked and fell in love with the results. So much so, it was hard for me to cover up. So I heat embossed the Watercolor Background with Silver Pearl Embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment with Flirty Fuchsia and heat embossed it in clear! Yep, all of the Catherine Pooler inks are heat emboss-able if you work quickly!

The heat embossing over that background is amazing. I love it. I think it reminds you of a unicorn as the colors are very reminiscent of the rainbow hair on my little ponies in the 80s. That’s my guess 😀 Jenny x

So pretty! Your snail mail card cracked me up. A great use of smaller stamps and so colorful (googly eyes would have been great)! Love the “unicorn” color card with the subtle heat embossing in the background.
