Hey there! Today I’ve got a video to share with you showcasing this card:
We’ve got some heat embossing, watercoloring and die cutting techniques, and I also introduce some of you to an awesome product called craft-a-board. It’s perfect for die cutting as it adds just a little bit of dimension to the die. And if you like to layer dies on top of each other, this makes it super easy to do. I heat embossed right onto the craft-a-board so it is very versatile. I used stamps and dies from the Essential by Ellen line! All the supplies are linked up below if you want to take a gander!!!!
Here’s a close up of the watercolored area. And I love that hint of thread peeking out of the stag! Oh! To make the hearts sparkle (also from an Essentials by Ellen stamp set), I stamped them with some pigment ink and heat set them with a sparkle embossing powder (linked below)… And I mentioned in the video, the trick to flattening out the card panel (because it warped from the watercoloring and heat embossing) was an iron! LOL! I bought a cheap iron from Amazon and put my card in between two pieces of typing paper and ironed it. Flattened that sucker right out! Isn’t the liquid platinum embossing powder divine?
Onto the video! You can watch it here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD!
Thanks for popping by today!!!

Beautiful card! Love your videos – thanks so much for continuing to share. I really like your water coloring – I am challenging myself to work more with water colors. I have the set of 24 of the same water colors you have. They are fantastic – the user just needs to learn more:)

Awesome card! I love the watercoloring, it is so pretty! Seriously… this card is perfect!
How sweet you are to share the ‘how to’ details alongside your lovely creations! I don’t have my distress inks or water-colour paints/ pencils or r paper with me (still staying with my mom, so relying on my ‘packed-by-my-husband moblle crafting unit supplies), but if I did, I’d give this a try! I’m lousy at water-colour, but following your lead is sure to help remedy that (I hope)! Gorgeous card!!
