Video: One Stencil Two Ways One Layer Cards

Hi there everyone! I’m over on The Crafter’s Workshop blog today sharing these two one layered cards I created using the same stencil. The stencil I used is an oldie, but a favorite of mine!

For my first card, I blended some distress inks thru the stencil using my Clarity Stencil brushes. I love the soft and subtle look it leaves behind.  I was in a purple/coral mood I guess… Actually, I think I just grabbed my Distress Minis and I liked the way these colors looked in the bin! HA! Whatever works, right?

For my second card, I used the exact same colors I used as above, but only this time I “stamped” with the stencil by applying the ink directly to the stencil, spritzed with water and then pressed my watercolored cardstock onto the stencil. Don’t you love the different look you achieve?

I used the embroidered heart stencil. It’s one of my favorites and one of my first stencil purchases I ever made! The stamped sentiment is from this Essentials by Ellen stamp set.   I colored in the “awesome” with a purple gel pen, but if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t have. I would have just left it alone! Grrrrr.

I’ve got a quick video to go along with these two cards! And I mean quick. It’s about 2.30 minutes, lol!!!!  You can watch it here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE!

Thanks so much for popping by today!!!! You guys are the best! See you next time!
