Hello there! I am absolutely thrilled to be participating in this blog hop where we are celebrating Cath and Technique Tuesday! A lot of amazing crafters have come together to celebrate this new release and I am so humbled and honored to be one of them! You should have hopped over to me by way of Tobi Crawford! If you get lost or want to check out the whole blog hop list, stop by the Technique Tuesday blog!
For my project today, I created two cards usingthe Heartfelt Thanks stamp set! I instantly fell in love with that gorgeous big heart and new it had to be masked and stamped with a watercolor! I created two masks with the hearts and then proceeded to stamp the heart with a variety of DIY Custom Blend Distress inks pads I created (for the video, click here), spritzed it with a little bit of water and stamped. I repeated until I had the panel covered…. I felt the colors were a little too bold (even for me, lol), so I adhered a piece of 43LB vellum over the top!
I heat set the sentiment and the little heart from the Garden of Life stamp set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder over the top of the vellum (the white strip is underneath)…
I decided to film a video showing off this gorgeous stamp set so I made a second card and this time, I left the vellum panel off so you can see the subtle difference.
Here is a look at both cards. The one to the left has the vellum.
And the video! You can watch it right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking HERE! And if you have a moment, I’d love a thumbs up! 🙂
Isn’t the heart gorgeous? Cath has a wonderful release of stamps and dies I encourage you to check out HERE! Next up on the hop is Melissa Phillips!
