Video: Layered flowers with distress inks and glaze

Happy Friday to everyone! Bring on the weekend! Today I have a card and video to share with you that I made ions ago. Layered flowers! Layering stamps scare the begeezies out of me… I thought it would be so difficult. And some companies layering sets look quite difficult to me.. But this gorgeous Peonies set from The Ton? Nope. Not difficult at all. I used distress inks to layer the colors and I used Distress Glaze to seal in the ink so it will be permanent so I could apply some Wink of Stella over the top of the flowers!

The links to the colors/supplies I used is listed below.  To layer the flowers, I stamped the lightest ink first and then built on top of that… The distress ink color combinations I used for the flowers:

  • Shaded Lilac/Seedless Preserves/Dusty Concord
  • Spun Sugar/Worn Lipstick/Festive Berries

For the vase:

  • Cracked Pistachio/Mermaid Lagoon

As I mentioned, I also have a video to go along with this post today. You can watch it by clicking HERE!

Very beautiful. I can never get my layered flowers to look right. Of course, mine didn’t come with the handy guide, but I think it’s more like I just haven’t quite figured it out yet.. hehe Thank you for taking the time to do a video. ^_^
