Video: Ken Oliver Color Burst AND Liquid Metals

By Laurel on March 3, 2016March 2, 2016

Hello everyone! I am so happy to finally try out the new Liquid Metals and Color Burst that Ken Oliver released!!! And guess what else? He has some fantastic watercolor paper! It’s a bright white and it holds loads of water, let me tell you. I used it on all three cards today along with the new Color Burst colors and Liquid Metals… The watercolor paper will be available for purchase soon. But the Liquid Metals and new colors of the Color Burst powder are available RIGHT NOW!  The exact colors I used are linked at the end of this post.  First up, lots of pics… Then, the video!

When I received my package from Ken, I ripped open that package, went straight into my craft room and turned on my camera and just started playing. These three cards were the result! I’ve got a video that shows everything but before I get to it, let me show you a few close ups.

This card features the new Liquid Metals. This flower was created by a mistake, lol! I added to much color and lost the design of the stencil but no problemo! I’ll use it anyway. I stamped and die cut the pane with the  Mondo Hydrangea stamp and die set.

Look at the shine that the Liquid Metals leave behind:

Next up, a print from the same design used above in the flower! A print? Yup…. Watch the video to learn more, but I basically stamped with the stencil and achieved amazing results:

The “Hello” was also die cut using a color burst panel.. Can you guess which color, lol?

And lastly, a card using a traditional technique of using color bursts thru a stencil:

I added a bit of Platinum Liquid Metal here.. Can you tell where?

Ok! Enough pictures! Let’s get on to the video. You can watch it right here or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!! 🙂

Goodies used: (Please note the Trapezoid stencil is linked as a 12×12, but I used a 6×6)

These cards are awesome. I didn’t even know about the metallics. I guess it’s time to go shopping. Oh, and love the addition of the glitter tape on the last card. It really did make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to do a video. Always a pleasure. ???
