Hi there! Today I have a video to share with you and I am also asking for YOUR help!!!! I created this canvas here using Faber Castell Gelatos for my craft room. One is primed with Gesso and the other is primed with a new product, Whipped Spackle. Here is a close up of each:
Primed with Whipped Spackle
You can see the subtle difference between the two… The Gesso primed canvas shows more of the white from the gesso and appears more textured, while the Whipped Spackle canvas is more creamy and smooth. I adore both.
But I need YOUR help! I want to embellish the canvas a bit for my craft room before hanging…. I like clean and simple….. I believe in the motto less is more, lol!!! Do you have any ideas you can share with me? Ideas? Pictures would be great!!!! Please! If you do, please email them to me at laurelbeard at me dot com…
You can watch the video right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Laureal, I love both plain like that 🙂 they look just like modern art.
How about adding clean white letters to spell out your motto: Less is more? Mount them onto your panels with something to add dimension, so you get some shadowing when viewed from an angle. If you’re going to use just those two panels maybe you could put LESS on one panel, MORE on the other and come up with a clever way to use the word IS to join them (hang a chain with a charm between them?). You could also emboss the letters for more visual interest.
Cool!!!!! What awesome pops of color for your craft room!! And hello – instant inspiration too!! What about silhouettes of your little babes? Saw this on Pinterest!! It would be pretty cool on the colorful background!! Maybe you could even do the silhouettes in white instead if black? What a cool idea!! Can’t wait to see what you do with them!!

Reblogged this on dadartdesign.
What about cutting a white flower out with your Silhouette? If you found one with detail the color could show through the cut out pieces….

Oh thanks Cinda!
Love the color with the Whipped! I think a few flowers in the corner.
