Video: Gelato Stenciled Background

By Laurel on February 10, 2016

Hi there! Yesterday I was so honored to be a part of the Essentials by Ellen Winter Release Blog hop! I made two cards using the Up the Happy stamp set and Positive Word dies. Remember, I have a giveaway over on the post so if you haven’t already, head HERE and leave a comment! I received a lot of comments about the cards, particularly the yellow butterfly card so I thought I would recreate it and film it for you all (I just used purple instead of yellow). All the supplies I used are linked at the end of this post. I have to say, I wish it was more difficult to make this background so you guys would think I’m some sort of genius, lol! When you watch the video, you will see that is not the case – sigh! 🙂

Hi Laurel ~ Thanks so much for taking the time to create this video so we could all see how incredibly difficult this card was to create. (wink, wink) This card is absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you, Laurel. It’s beautiful, and I love your little splatters. I’m terrible with sequin placement too! haha Please don’t trash the panel without gesso. It was very pretty, and I’m sure you can think of something to spruce it up. ^_^ Thanks again.. ♥♥♥

Beautiful Card Laurel!! I was wondering if maybe you linked the wrong stencil as the one linked in the supply list looks different from the one used in the video?

Thanks so much for sharing this technique. I was given some gelato so for Christmas 14 months ago and still haven’t worked out many things to do with them. I will try this out soon.
