This box retails for $67 and includes everything every new stamper needs to create custom handmade cards!!!! The products in this box are also staple products for every stampers’ craft room! I thought it would be helpful to list the exact contents of this box:
- 5 dye ink pads (Grass Skirt, Rockin’ Red, Fiesta Blue, Orange Twist, and Midnight) – These ink pads are very juicy! Midnight (black) is permanent and works well with Alcohol markers such as: Copics, Spectrum Noir, etc).
- 3 clear stamp sets (For Everything, Spot On, Amazing Floral)
- Round acrylic block
- (30) Pre-cut/Pre-scored card stock
I am part of a blog hop today where each hopper will a few one layer cards using just the items in this box and a few cards where we could step up our design a bit so to speak and add twine or sequins or do some fancy cutting with scissors!!! Let’s take a look at the 5 cards I made today. I’ll start off with the super duper easy one and then work my way up to the “difficulty” level – which in all honesty – maybe measures at a 1, lol!!! Ok. The first:
For this card, I took a piece of the card stock that came in the box and lined it up diagonally across the middle of the card. I grabbed some of the Fiesta Blue ink and a sponge (not included but you could use a blending tool or just a little make up wedge sponge) and gently blending on some of the blue ink. These inks blend fabulously. Use a LIGHT HAND when blending with these inks and you will get perfection every time.
Then I took one of the smaller floral images and stamped it repeatedly in Midnight ink along the “line” of the ink. Finished off the card by stamping the large happy circular image with Grass Skirt ink (the ink stamps so evenly and solid) and then the “everything” with the Midnight ink.
Moving on to my second card. I grabbed some scissors and cut a half circle shape with the card stock included in the box and lined up the negative space on the front of the card, leaving the exposed half circle for me to work with. I blended all of the inks in the box using a blending tool (again, you can use a make up sponge or any kind of blending tool). I blended Rockin’ Red, Orange Twist, Grass Skirt and Fiesta Blue together and then removed the cut card stock to reveal the rainbow half circle! 🙂 If you follow me, you know I love adding water flicks! Well guess what?
To finish off this card, I spritzed some water into my hand and flicked it onto the inked are and magic! Look at how the inks reacted with the water. I let the water sit for about 10 seconds and then blotted it away with a paper towel. I stamped the sentiment and geometric circles with the Midnight black ink!
And lastly, and probably my favorite of the three cards today…. I have a video that shows how I made this card. Scroll down to the end of this post to get it! How about those steamed hearts? LOL!
To finish off this card, I wrapped some twine around the top of the card and tied a bow (twine not included in the Foundation box). Bow tying people – it isn’t my forte…. Lucky I can lace my shoelaces.
Originally, I was only going to share the three cards above. But I made two more and a video! So let’s check those out!
A little ink swiping with the ink pads! I swiped Orange Twist, Fiesta Blue and Grass Skirt onto the Catherine Pooler Cardstock and then stamped the sentiment and floral images from Amazing Floral in the Midnight Black ink. And up! You can use the ink to add some paint flicks too! 🙂
And lastly, and maybe my new favorite card, PLAID! I took one of the border images from the For Everything stamp set and stamped it multiple times. I inked up the image with Rockin’ Red and stamped and then stamped again without reinking. Then I stamped the images again in Orange twist and Fiesta Blue.
Finished it off by stamping one of the large images from Spot by inking the stamp up with both Rockin’ Red and Orange Twist. And of course, a couple of flicks of the black ink just because, lol!
VIDEO TIME! I have a video that shows you everything inside the Foundations Box and I also make a card! You can watch it right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD!
See how easy it is to create very fun and simple one layer cards using these “staple” stamping items provided in the Foundations box?
The ink line is debuting with the Foundations box so you can get your hands on 5 of the colors early! The inks will be available for individual sale in January over at the Catherine Pooler store.
