Hi there! Welcome to the Calling All Sistahs blog hop! You should have arrived from Kimberly Rendino’s blog! This monthly blog hop is to remind all you women to check yourselves! Early detection is key!
I’ve paired the Word Ribbon and Be Stamp set with some Nuvo Embossing powders. These powers were brand spanking new to me so I thought I’d try them out for the first time and film the entire process and give you my first impressions, etc… In a nutshell, I like them. They gave great coverage, even on this very detailed sentiment image! And the colors are fantastic. I normally like bright, bold colors but I chose to use some of the pastel colors and was quite pleased with the result!!! They also have glitter embossing powders.
Giveaway: (3) random winners will be chosen among those who comment along the hop to win a $15 gift certificate to the store!
And remember, any time you shop at the CAS-ual Fridays store, you can save 15% by entering code Laurel2016 at checkout!
Next up on the hop is Lisa Lahiff!

Just when I think I have enough embossing powders, I come to your blog to find I need more. 🙂 Love the way these soft pastels look with the hope ribbon. Thank you for being a part of the Calling All Sistahs blog hop, Laurel.
I really like this type of card. One of the ladies in my Bible study has breast cancer so this card is especially touching to me. I purchased the ribbon stamp set last month so I could make her a card. I have other embossing powders that would work but would like to add some Nuvos to my collection. I love the Crystal Drops from them. God bless and have a great Thanksgiving!
Beautiful card! I love the background that you created and the words hope ribbon is perfect!
So very pretty, love how you did the ribbon!!
Beautiful. I like the embossed ribbon and the colors you used.
Beautiful techniques! I love the colors, soft but the card is strong and supportive.
A beautiful card Laurel. I love both of these stamp sets. I haven’t seen or tried the nuvo embossing powders but think I will have to – I love what you did to the ribbon with them!
Such pretty multi-colored embossing and the black accents set it off just perf!
beautiful card!
