Altenew released Watercolor Brush markers and I purchased them the moment they became available! I couldn’t wait to try them out so I turned on the camera and started filming. Yep! No planning. No research. Just opened and checked out what they can do. Want to see????

I created two cards in the video. The first one uses the pigmented watercolors straight from the marker and then blended with watercolor brush.
The other I created more muted colors by pressing the marker onto my glass surface, adding some water and then picking up the color.
Then, being in the daring mood I was in, I sprayed the panel (the more muted panel of the two) with water to get the colors moving and wicking! I held my breathe sprayed and was quite happy with the result.
A few things I made note of when playing with them:
- Comes in pack of 10 colors
- Coordinates with the Altenew ink colors
- Marker has color dot (true to color) – no swatching required – which I am SO GRATEFUL for.
- Vivid Colors
- Brush tip allows you to get into tight/small areas
- Blends well with water
- Tight cap
So what do you think? Do you like?????
Hi! How would you compare them to the Zigs Clean Color?
