Hi there everyone! Today I have a video that goes along with these FOUR cards I created using the We R Memory Keeper Next Level embossing folders (except the striped one, that is one of their regular embossing folders)…. The embossing folders are 6×6 and come in a pack of two featuring two different designs… I have had these for quite some time, I admit it. I’m thinking at least 6 months! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME FOR NOT USING THEM UNTIL NOW? THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!
I wanted to create a 4 different cards using 4 different embossed designs along with 4 different colored mediums on the backgrounds. I guess I wanted to use as many stinkin’ products as possible or something (see the supply list??? lol). Before I share all the still shots of the projects, let me link you to the video I made creating these cards…. You can watch it right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD by clicking here!
I think I’ll start with my favorite of the four and work my way down… This background was created with the only non next level embossing folder I used, the Stripe embossing folder. The background is the distress inked background in the colors Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade.
The vellum butterfly? Holy smokes! I love this paper! I think I picked it up on clearance at Ellen Hutson so I am not sure it will be back in stock, but if it is, get it! I love it. I wish I bought more than one measly sheet. The sentiment is from The Ton’s Let’s Mingle.
Next up, the color burst floral background. I used the Bouquet Next Level Embossing folder and color bursts in the colors Turquoise and Orchid. As I said in the video, I DID NOT mean to lay down so much powder! I was concerned the background was going to drown out the embossed bouquet. But since those embossed images are so raised off the page, I was able to swipe on some Picket Fence distress ink and really made the embossed images pop! I love the way it turned out.
I foiled the Hello using Opal Deco Foil and the Deco Foil White Foam adhesive (no heat, laminator or minc required). It really pops off that colored embossed background.
This one used the other design from the Bouquet designs and the background was made with just one color of the Peerless Watercolors.
The sentiment is from the Sassy Smiles stamp set by Cas-Ual Fridays and I have no idea how that bit of yellow got down there on the bottom but I’m rolling with it, lol!
And lastly, I used the dotted next level set for this card. I paired the embossed background with the Burst die from Avery Elle. WARNING: When you run these next level embossing folders thru your die cutting machine (probably any embossed image), the images will flatten out some.
I again foiled the love using the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive so I didn’t need to use the Minc Machine or laminator. I simply pressed the foil over the sticky side and bam, foil sticks! Next time, I’ll die cut the circle first and then run the next level embossing folder thru because I really wanted those hearts to pop up (insert sad face)…….
Ok, phew. I’m tired. These cards took several hours to make because a few didn’t make it.. They met their maker (the garbage)…. The video footage had to be edited big time, lol! But I hope you enjoyed them nonetheless!!! These embossing folders are amazeballs.
Goodies used:
