Hi there! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I just on a whim decided to drive to Ikea (that’s a 2 hour drive for me unfortunately).. You ever get that way? Get an itch to get a few things? Well I did and walked away spending less than $200 and happy with my purchases! With reorganizations, comes PURGING! Like serious without a doubt NEED TO PURGE! I made a good dent in it and as I filmed, I found more things I need to go thru and purge, lol! So I will be doing a major purge soon and half of the proceeds will be donated to one of my favorite charities, Promise to Kate (they are college friends of mine and the sweetest people). Stay tuned for that. For now, I’ve got a video so share with you today! I’m showing you my craft room, eek! I have founds lots of this and thats to help me organize, so hopefully some of this might be helpful to you.. If not funny! I did have to bloopers while filming, he he.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I FILMED WITH MY IPHONE SO IT IS A BIT SHAKY (the tripod I ordered hadn’t arrived yet). IT IS ALSO A LONG VIDEO BECAUSE I SHOW YOU ALL THE INS AND OUT OF MY SPACE SO FEEL FREE TO SKIP THE VIDEO AND JUST TAKE A GANDER AT THE STILL PHOTOS TOWARDS THE END OF THIS POST IF YOU’D LIKE. ALL THE PRODUCTS (INCLUDING THE FURNITURE) ARE LISTED AT THE END OF THE POST LINKED TO VARIOUS SOURCES)… MOST OF MY FURNITURE IS FROM IKEA.
Alright, let’s get on to the video first, shall we???
Here are a few still shots (sure NOT to make you sick, lol):
In the video, I mentioned a couple of videos I’ve done in the past showcasing some of the product or art you saw in the video:
Gelatos Canvas:
Goodies used (linked to multiple sources: Ikea, Amazon, Ellen Hutson, Simon Says Stamp, etc)
Stick It Adhesive via Blitsy:
I also referenced Jennifer McGuire, who is the QUEEN of organization! I also mentioned Bossy Joscie for my custom stamps. I also have ordered from Twig and Linen. Both are fantastic and provide excellent service and quality product. Oh, and Freckled Fawn is where I get the cute little pouches. Also, be sure to sign up for emails to Blitsy! A lot of the products I mentioned are available as flash deals over there! Every day they have new deals! It’s so fun!
Ok, so that sums up my craft room tour! I hope I didn’t make you to sick and I hope you enjoyed it just a little bit! 🙂 If you have got any organizing tips you think I would love to hear, be sure to leave it in the comments on email me. I LOVE to organize. I am a dork like that!
Products/Supplies mentioned: (Linked to multiple sources: Ikea, Target, Ellen Hutson, Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, etc).
Loved the video…didn’t think it was shaky at all. Your craft room is so organized and clean!! I’m inspired. I bought the Raskog card when they had their one day sale on them for $19.99 (actually, I got two of them….dragged my sister to IKEA so she could get an extra one for me…it was limited to 1 per person). I’m embarrassed to say that I still have to put them together!! LOL!! Just got busy. Now that the holidays are over, I plan on getting them out of the box. Thanks for the post and video.
Love your craft room Laurel, nice and spacious…and that view! Like you, I’m a huge fan of IKEA and have a long wish list. As for that Jennifer McGuire, she has a lot to answer for with all her wonderful storage ideas and products, she’ll send me broke! Just when I find a storage solution for my dies and stamps, she finds a better one. I’ll be honest, I spend more time organising than crafting :-/
Thanks for sharing and I loved your video, made me laugh!
Great video and that craft room is just amazing! I didn’t think about throwing up once! I saw my card I sent you hanging and it made me smile! Wish I had time to see that room in person while I was in town but we will have to make a date for next time!!
I wouldn’t give up the view for anything; but probably wouldn’t get much work done either!
Wow – love how you have everything!
Absolutely fabulous! Thanks for sharing….wish I had that much room but I am grateful for what I have and for the storage solutions that IKEA offers. I use a lot of the Bygel containers hanging on rods…when I move to another room or a play day, I can just pick up the whole container and go. The storage boxes are also great. One wish…I could be inspired to purge.
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! I love your Craft room…so organized and so bright and cheery!
I love IKEA! I just wish I had a dedicated space that I could use to permanently set up shop, but we have a very small house and it’s good exercise for me to run up and down the stairs for my supplies, LOL!
My goal is to get very disciplined about purging and organizing my supplies this year. Time to make it work for our house!
Thanks so much for sharing (and inspiring!)
Laurel thank you for the fun fun video of your craft room! Love having a look at how other people organize their space. Reminds me after I clean up the mess from Christmas I have to do a follow up post–maybe a video too. Inspired by your post today! Happy New Year!
Great job on your craft room.
I am in LOVE with your space! Thanks for sharing all the handy little organization tips!
Your space looks amazing. I see some thing I want from Ikea that I’m adding to my list. Have a great week!!
Catching up with comments, Laurel, and what a fabulous start-point with your video/photos of your crafting room and organization. In awe…and, of course, wearing various shades of ‘envy green’ at your luscious crafting space! You have quite the haven for allowing your creativity full expression! I’m going Ikea window shopping, armed with this lovely list of inspiration! Your video: delightful!!!
Hugs~c
Love your space and your organization. You linked to many items you used except for the zipper pouches you use to store things, couldn’t make out in the video where these come from. Could you link to them please?? Thanks!!
