Who said pumpkins have to be orange? No one! That’s right! LOL! I’m using the awesome Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders October Kit today to create this unconventional card! The monthly kits come at a fabulous price!
No orange pumpkins here. No scarecrows…. No green leaves…. Just lots of texture from the stenciled background and the alcohol inked panel I used to die cut the elements… The October’s Die Set is called Fall Flora and contains 16 dies. Now you can create wreaths, borders, frames…… There is a lot you can do and the PDF gives you loads of ideas on how you to use these.
I chose to two backgrounds I had preciously made (I make lots of backgrounds at one time and save them for quick cardmaking)….. The stenciled background was created with a stencil, embossing paste and a black spray. The die cut pieces were cut from a Alcohol Ink panel I created on yupo paper. See all the texture? The assembly of the die cut pieces took just under a minute and this card was done.
I like cards that are non-traditional to shake things up a bit. Love this!
