Two Cards, One Stamp Set: Watercolored Peonies

By Laurel on January 24, 2019

Hello there!  I have returned from Creativation safe and sound! (Creativation is a Crafting Convention for retailers and businesses, read more about it HERE). I am working on a video of the things I saw there that really caught my eye so stay tuned for that… I am still recovering from my return trip home, which took over 48 hours complete due to delays, etc. It was quite the adventure. If you follow me on Instagram, you know all about it!

I thought today was the perfect day to share a bright, colorful design since I’m looking out the window at snow, sleet and ice!  I adore the Mondo Peony stamp set from Ellen Hutson…. It’s an oldie but a staple in my craft room! It will never leave it. It’s one of those stamps I’ll just never get rid of.

I started by stamping, heat embossing and watercoloring all of the images from the stamp set. I heat embossed the images using the Wow Metallic Gold embossing powder. I watercolored the florals with the Altenew 36 Watercolor Pan set. Those watercolors are so pigmented I just adore them…. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and assembled the card.  I added a striped accent using the Striped stamp set from The Stamp Market.

I had a floral piece left over so I used that as a focal point. I stamped the peonies in Midnight Ink and then popped up the die cut Peony with some foam dimensional tape.

I love the color pop on this card. I intentionally left it blank because I can stamp a sentiment later or just write something on the inside and leave it sentiment free!

2 cards with 1 stamp!

Thanks so much for popping by!!! 🙂 See you again soon.
