FINALLY! You have sneaks all over the web and today is the day the release is finally available. I quickly loaded up my cart because stuff started going out of stock! I suggest you do the same…. 🙂 I was lucky enough to receive this stamp set prior to the release to play around with and I create two cards using it… It is just adorable. I am in LOVE with the fish bowl and there is so much you can do with it!! (It also comes with a coordinating die set)
For my first card, I stamped it and trimmed out the center…… All the images were colored/stamped with this watercolor set.… And you see the textury glittery circles? I made them with this new medium by Design Memory Craft. It’s Faber Castell Glitter Glass Bead gel… (So cool. I made a video HERE showing you how to use it)… Paired it up with the Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots stencil. The background panel was watercolored onto this watercolor paper.
Now tell me the truth. Can you picture Dorie in your mind singing, Just Keep Swimming. Just Keep Swimming (Nemo)…. LOL
I loved stamping the seaweed with the Gansai watercolors. I think the colors and texture was super duper cool…. The rest of the images were stamped with Onyx Black ink and then I watercolored them in with the same watercolors… And of course, I added a ton of wink of stella in clear all over the fish, the treasure box and inside of the fish bowl… Sparkle, sparkle baby!
For my second card, I create the textured background using the Design Memory Craft Faber Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel and gelato (tinted the gel).. Again, the video I created shows how I made this background (I just couldn’t show the card in the video because it was a hush hush until today)….. So check the video to see how I tinted the gel and created this amazing textury glittery background….
The fish bowl was stamped onto clear card stock with Stazon Jet Black ink and then I adhered it down with multi-matte medium.
Then I took some fun foam and this die from Simon to create the fishing pole (I colored the foam with a brown gelato)… All the little fish were stamped and fussy cut and colored with Copics.. I added a touch of white gel pen to each of the fishies…
