The Ton’s Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop

By Laurel on April 4, 2018April 4, 2018

Welcome to the Ton Stamps Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop. I have 4 cards to share with you today, each using a different and simple technique.

The Ton has 14 new stamps, coordinating dies and 5 standalone dies for their new Spring 2018 Release which includes up to two free gifts with purchases (GWP). For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog. New release products can be purchased now and all new release orders will begin to ship on Monday, April 9.

First up is the duo of cards using the Dahlia Bouquet stamp set.

For my first card, I watercolored in the traditional way, using just two colors of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for the florals.

This second card was a happy accident. I thought I could watercolor on black cardstock using the metallic gansai watercolors. So I carefully watercolored each area in pink, green, etc….. LOL! When it dried – yea – all pearlescent white! But that’s ok!!!! LOOK HOW GORGEOUS.

I actually love this organic look… AND SO SHINY!!!!!

Next up is the Heritage Rose stamp set. What a large BEAUTIFUL rose…. And  VERY EASY layering stamps to layer!

To add a little extra, I took a Deco Foil Adhesive pen and scribbled in some adhesive here and there. Some following the lines of the rose, some not…. Then I pressed some Radiant Red Deco Foil into it and voila….. I did the same with the leaves, using turquoise foil. OHHH! And the “HELLO” is from the General Bold Word Plates die and I lined it with this amazing Ribbed Glitter paper… Self adhesive people….. Comes in a variety of colors. I’ll be showcasing that more later on.

And lastly, Beautiful Bettas! How unique is this stamp set. I kept this card so simple just so you can see these gorgeous fish and all the detail.

Isn’t this so cool???? Also another layering set very easy to layer.

Your second card, looks almost like the chalk board technique with shimmer! 😉 Your third card is GREAT with the foiling! Such a SUPER IDEA!!! 😉 AND your fourth card does show us just how BEAUTIFUL these Betta Fish are! LOVE the layering of colors with these! SUPER WORK, Laurel!!! 😉

The second part of your comment was so unnecessary. Even if a card is not to your taste, why not just say nothing instead of putting others artwork down?

Happy to read that you used Zig markers for the colorful bouquet — they are my go-to markers for coloring. Can’t wait to try them out with this stamp! Thanks for the inspiration!

Self adhesive glitter paper? Sign me up! I love anything watercoloured & your dahlias are just lovely. Your happy accident card has an almost ghostly affect & is very cool. Your rose is outstanding! The detail in that stamp is something else! The foil just gives it that bit of kick. Beautiful. And the Betta fish. The more I see that set used in this blog hop, the more I want it. The Ton is new to me & I am so impressed with what I’m seeing in this release.
