The Ton’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop – Day 1

By Laurel on January 5, 2019January 4, 2019
The Ton is celebrating 4 years this month and Effie has introduced 9 new designs for this release. There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps’ blog for more details.  You should have hopped over from Jana Millen’s blog!
Today I have two cards to share using the Gift Stamp Set.  I love this stamp set. There are so many fun images. Some are joined together for easy one stamp stamping and others are individual stamps so you can’t build and layer!  And gifts. Who doesn’t want gifts? This set can be used for birthdays, Christmas, Anniversary, Graduation… You name it. Just pick a sentiment and you can make this card for whatever you want it to be for!
I kept the layout and ink colors used the same but used different color card bases. First up is the white. That crisp white background is perfect!
And then a kraft background, which I think would be suitable as a masculine card.
Seriously, so much you can do with this set and I look forward to playing with it more. Now for a bit of sentiment… Effie is a dear friend of mine. She was the second person to visit me when I moved up North.  Pretty risky only knowing me via “the web”…  She hopped on a two hour train ride to visit me just for a few hours. She created The Ton stamps all by herself and it continues to thrive. She is the soul illustrator and employee! I couldn’t be prouder of her. Ok, puke. Enough sentiment. She knows I love her! 🙂
Blog Hop Order:
  • The Ton
  • Amy Tsuruta
  • Renee Day
  • Lea Lawson
  • Janette Kausen
  • Vera Yates
  • Jana Millen
  • Laurel Beard – I AM YOUR LAST STOP! 🙂

GIVEAWAYS:

There are also giveaways everyday on these mini hops! Win a stamp of choice from The Ton’s new release. To enter, leave a comment on each blog each day. Effie will choose one winner per day (4 winners total) and announce the winners on The Ton’s blog by January 12. The comment period for these giveaways will close on January 11 at 7pm EST.

It’s interesting to see the subtle difference in the tones of the same colours when used on white & kraft cardstock. I really like this stamp set as it would be so very versatile. Thanks for that information about Effie. I’ve not really had exposure to the Ton stamps & it’s very interesting to hear what she has accomplished. Talk about talent to do everything related to her company. Kudos to her!
