The Ton Fall 2015 New Release Blog Hop with VIDEO and GIVEAWAY

Welcome to The Ton Fall 2015 New Release Blog hop! The Ton has been posting many projects throughout the week showcasing all the items from this release that include stamps, dies and gilding! And, there has been a giveaway offered each day! I hope you checked that out!  This release is huge. It’s awesome. It’s a must have. Stamps, Dies, Mixes, Sequins, Gilding….. Be sure to check out the complete release by clicking HERE!   Today is the final day of release week and I have the honor of  celebrating along with them in this blog hop! All the hoppers are linked below and each hopper has a giveaway up for grabs (more on that in a bit)…

I’ve got two projects to share with you today! (Oh, and both sets I am using today have coordinating dies)..  First up, is a card using the Crystal Flurries stamp set. Oh those snowflakes. They stole my heart! Gorgeous! All the different sizes and detail. Stunning! I wanted to really capture the snowflakes in the spirit of winter so I started with a white piece of card stock and layered up some different color distress inks. I dusted some perfect pearls powder over the top and then stamp the snowflakes with water. Yup! I sprayed water onto the stamp and stamped!

To create the shadow look, I took the stormy sky distress ink (one of the colors I used in the background) and stamped it again right over the top of the water impression. And then I flicked on some white flicks to finish off the background. The sentiment was stamped in versamark and heatset with bright white Wow embossing powder!

Next up is a card I made using the Autumn Foliage stamp set. It’s a layering leaves stamp set and it is gorgeous! This one has a video to go along with it. I decided to create something using the layering stamps in a different way. I used the stamps on their own, rather than layering them up.. And see that striped background? That was made with alcohol markers and the embossing resist technique!  I saw this technique on Gina K’s blog and had to give it a try!!! I created the striped background the same way for both cards, but I used the solid layering stamp on one card and the layering stamp set on the other card for a completely different look. I also used Distress Markers to create a two toned stamped sentiment.

You can watch the video on these cards by clicking HERE!
