Terraced Lane: 2 cards 1 Stamp

By Laurel on November 1, 2016

Laurel Beard Penny Black Terraced Lane 1

Hi there! I have two cards to share with you today using the same GORGEOUS scene stamp. I used distress inks on both but look at how different each one is?  Let’s take a look at the first one. For both cards, I used distress watercolored cardstock.Laurel Beard Penny Black Terraced Lane 2

For this card, I inked up the stamp with Versamark ink,  sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat set it. I colored in the image with some distress inks by smooshing the ink pad on my craft sheet, spritzing with water and that painting it in with a paint brush. The heat embossed area resists the watercolor.

The second one was easier believe it or not. I applied various color distress inks directly to the stamp, spritzed lightly with water and then stamped. Voila.

Love the look of the watercolored area and how simple it was to achieve.

These cards are absolutely beautiful. They look like paintings that could be framed. Thanks for sharing these cards.
