Sweet Stamp Shop: Butterflies, Stickles and Distress Markers

By Laurel on April 10, 2012

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a post using one of the new stamp sets from the Sweet Stamp Shop April Release. This set is called Happy Bugs! I love those butterflies! They stamp perfectly and have loads of detail! GORGEOUS! The sentiment is from their Alphabet Set called Sweet Doodles. All supplies are listed at the end of my post!

I colored in the butterflies with my new Tim Holtz Distress Markers! They are so much fun to work with. I actually had a HOW TO VIDEO to go along with this post, but silly me deleted it by accident. My heart sunk – 🙁 I am reshooting it today and hopefully will have it it by the end of the day! After coloring the butterflies, I added a thick coating of distress stickles! I love how the butterflies shine!

The white wash background was created with Picket Fence Distress Stain – a must have in my opinion! The background on the butterfly panel was created with Tim Holtz Distress Markers. Yup, had that all filmed too but that pesky delete key got in the way….

Thanks for stopping by today!!! 🙂

Pretty! Sorry about the video, I would have liked to see it. Looks like you had fun with your new markers though. Hey I think you need to make a card with the caterpiller in that bug set, super cute!
