Hi there! I am over on The Crafter’s Workshop blog sharing this quick and easy card. This is an unusual color palette for me but I think I like it! I grabbed the Sing Unto Doodling Template stencil and applied some White modeling paste thru the bird image and then applied some Gold Gesso thru the music notes to create the layout.
Once all that was dry, I added a little Gold Gesso over the modeling paste to create a glow on the songbird. I layered it onto some Gold Adhesive Glitter Paper to tie in more gold from the Gold Gesso. I finished it off with diecutting the “Believe” word die from Ellen Hutson onto some Black Glitter Adhesive paper. I gave the bird a little eye with the Black Nuvo Crystal Drop!
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Friday!
And HAPPY VETERAN’S DAY! THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN (AND THEIR FAMILIES) FOR FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY! MAY THEY ALL BE REMEMBERED, CHERISHED AND THANKED TODAY! A SPECIAL THANKS TO MY HUSBAND! HE IS A COMMANDER IN THE US NAVY. I LOVE HIM SO AND AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THAT HE IS AND DOES).

I love the use of the modeling paste! It creates such a lovely effect!
Really neat card, Laurel! I like the colors, and the gold gesso really does help the bird glow. I never even heard of gold gesso! Thanks so much for sharing, and thank YOU and your husband for your service! 🙂 ~ Andrea
