Hi there everyone! I’m over on The Crafters Workshop blog sharing these custom Laundry labels! My mom is an Interior Designer! She is brilliant and the entire reason why my house looks so well put together! I buy stuff I like and she makes it work in my home (I don’t have the eye – like at all). When I moved, she flew up here with me (in fact, she is still here thank GOD) and help set up the house, said where to place things and hang the art, etc…..).
She wanted some laundry tags for her laundry room in colors that matched so I was right on it! Using a stencil and some Alpha stamps whipped up these labels in under 10 minutes! I used an oldie, but on of my favorites. The 6×6 Honeycomb stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop.
I first die cut the rectangle shape and stamped out the custom labels using the Vogue Alpha Upper Set from The Ton Stamps. Then with a very light hand, I blended some Tumbled Glass distress ink thru the stencil, being sure not to cover the entire stencil. I only wanted some of the image to come thru. To subtly blend the ink, I used the Clarity Stencil brushes but you could easily use the Ranger blending tool or any other foam applicator you may have. As a finishing touch, I flicked on some black texture spray and once dry, I laminated all the panels to preserve the life of the labels!
Here are a few close up of the custom labels. She didn’t want me to photograph her laundry room just yet – until she gets coordinating baskets! HA HA HA! 🙂
I hope you guys have a great day!!!!
Really neat…like the colors as well as design.
Hi Laurel ~ Nice to “see” you!! These signs look wonderful and I also love that stencil and the Distress Inks. You and your Mom are lucky to have each other, for sure and I’m sure these will look lovely in her laundry room. (No laundry room here unless you call my basement a large laundry room. LOL) Enjoy the rest of the week….it should be as hot as FL for a few days!! ~HUGS~
Oh, I love these!
