Stamp of Approval: watercoloring with distress ink refills

It’s almost time!!! Time for the third Stamp of Approval collection. This collection is called the Young at Heat collection and it is chalk full of a ton of stuff for birthdays, celebratory events, etc….. You do NOT want to miss out on this collection!!!! It is available on FEBRUARY 3rd! More on that in a bit.  You can see many more samples using this collection over on Catherine Pooler’s blog as well as right here on my blog! And tomorrow is the big BLOG HOP featuring tons of designers using this collection with two giveaways! So be sure to stop back by tomorrow!

Are you new to Stamp of Approval? Well let me quickly tell you what it is. It is a hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box (the boxes are adorable by the way) that releases quarterly! Most of the products in the box won’t be available until much later this year! The first box released last year and sold out within hours, so be sure to subscribe to the wait list so you will be emailed when the collection goes on sale on February 3rd! The box is a quarterly release, with a different theme each time. It is hand picked specifically by Catherine herself! I also want to emphasize this is not a KIT! There are no patterned papers in these collections. Stamps, dies, stencils……. That can easily be incorporated into what you have in your own stash!

Ok, let’s talk about my card! I created the background by using distress ink REFILLS! Would you like to see a video on this? I stamped images from HB2u stamp set and the Ring in the Celebration stamp set from the Young at Heart Collection in Onyx black ink! The Harleen stencil is awesome! I applied some white embossing paste partially thru the stencil. Love the texture it leaves behind! And voila! Card is done!

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the blog hop, because TWO lucky winners will win this collection!!!

BTW, did you pick a winner yet for the last LCC collab? If I remember correctly, you were each going to pick one winner, so 3 winners in total?

Ummm, yes I would like to see a video on this, Laurel! Great minds think alike. When I saw the stencil I had to make a purple harlequin background with striking black accents. In your gorgeous cards I see ovals instead of diamonds. I would love to watch your creative process, and of course, I love your card.

Hi Laurel ~ First, your card is gorgeous!! Every time I see a card using this stencil, it looks SO different. In your beautiful purple card, I see ovals and in CP’s black and white background I saw the diamonds instead. And yes!!!! Or course I want you to put a video together using this technique. Your videos are always fun and filled with fantastic ideas. Thanks so much for sharing.

Lovely card. Quite similar to Heathers but with different beautiful colours and the added texture of embossing paste. Would love to see a video of your creative process!
