Hi there and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!!!! In Florida it is finally cold. Record breaking 32 today…. I love the cold. Just love it! Don’t want the negative temperatures or crazy snow like a lot of you are getting right now though…….. The challenge this week is ICE! What do you think of when you think Ice? Winter? Ice Skating? Snow? Snowcones? The Design Team is using either Tim Holtz or Glitter Ritz Glitter! I decided to die cut the HELLO and add some Warm highlights Glitter Ritz on it and color over it using these Spectrum Noir Markers (Bt1, Bt3, BT4)….
I wanted kind of a sparkly tie dye look with the sentiment.. Man, I wish I could get the sparkle on camera. The background was created with Distress Inks and this snowflake stamp set. I love using distress inks and water together. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Here is another attempt at trying to capture the sparkle of the sentiment….
The amazing folks at Simon Says Stamp have an amazing prize to win! A $50 gift certificate to their online store! Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the AMAZING creations by the design team.

Beautiful background you created there! Its so helpful to have all the “ingredients” posted at the end of your blog. I take it you stamped the snowflakes with some kind of resist (just plain Versamark?) then coloured with Distress inks then misted? For a Florida girl, you sure got that icy feel!
This card is so pretty, Laurel!! The snowflake background looks wonderful!
A gorgeous card Laurel, your created background is stunning “””
