Simon Says Stamp Challenge: BINGO

By Laurel on August 8, 2012

“There was a farmer who had a dog and BINGO was his namo, B-I-N-G-O” – Yea, I couldn’t get that song out of my mind when I saw this week’s challenge! It’s all about BINGO!!!!!!! HA HA! I chose to use the center line and used glitter and die cuts! The Design Team is working with Memory Box products this week and what better dies to use than Memory Box! I used the Thanks die and the perched bird die and glitters those babies up!

I used the Be Creative Double Sided Tape and Glitter Ritz microfine glitter and colored both die cuts with copics! I decided I didn’t really like the look of just the colored sentiment, so I die cut “thanks” again using my Cuttlebug and layered it over the glitter to create this glittery background shadow!

A final touch of Mister Huey’s mist in Dewey and I called it a day! I tried and tried and tried (longer than it took me to make the card) to photograph this sucker right. To get the coloring, the sparkle from the glitter but no such luck, so you guys will just have to trust me! It looks pretty good in person!!!!!

The wonderful Heidi is offering up a $50 gift certificate to the Simon Says Stamp online store!!!!!! HELLO!!!!!! That’s awesome!!!

Be sure to head on over the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog and take a look at the rest of the design team inspiration. Be prepared to have your socks blown off!

It is beautiful Laurel, your glittering is fabulous and I double lettering is so effective. Don’t you hate it when it takes longer to photo a card than it does to make it ???

I SO understand trying to capture glitter – either it makes you blind or you can’t see it when you take your picture, nothing in between, right? Love your idea for adding it!
