Yup, it’s back to school week here in the Beard household. My not little so boy started the first grade yesterday!!!! SNIFF SNIFF! I don’t know if I am sad or what, but I have just not been feeling well this week……
The fun challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is BACK TO SCHOOL! And the Design Team is working with Sizzix products! They make a ton of stuff. Stamps and embossing folders and much more!!! I chose to work with one of my favorite embossing folders and create a bookmark! It just seemed so appropriate.. Bookmark, Back to School. HE HE!
I embossed the background with the embossing folder, attached a PUFFIE (how cute is that, seriously…. So many different Puffie designs to choose from)… Created a sentiment strip with some text from Lawn Fawn.. Added a bit of distress ink here and there and voila! Bookmark…

Wonderful bookmark! And I so know/understand your feelings. Out little Ted started daycare (dagis here) and I feel the same way, not knowing if I’m happy or sad – he’s definately enjoying it but I think it is all about him taking another step in life and that the time before school or daycare is never coming back. I go through “stages” like that all the time. You want them to stay small at the same time you love the way they are RIGHT NOW and want them to grow and develop – ohh this mamma business – it’s hard (-:
