Silly card using stickers, @lawnfawn and copics

By Laurel on February 9, 2011

I told you it was a silly card! I was in a silly mood this morning. I am finally starting to feel better from my surgery last week. I even wore jeans today! But soon I will find myself back in my PJ bottoms, but hey – it’s a start! 🙂

This card I made for my mom to give to my Dad for Valentines Day! He likes to fish (even though he rarely catches anything, but shhh.. Don’t tell him I told you)…. I found these cute dimensional stickers from EK Success in Walmart of all places… I pulled out Lawn Fawn’s Critters in the Sea and hooked the fish to the pole. Yea, my dad caught a fish!!! And I used Harold’s ABC’s for the sentiment. Lawn Fawn has great sentiment sets. The nest into each other, making it very easy to use. Rumor has it another one will be released next month!

I played along with a few challenges today. Denami Design is having a super fun challenge – TWINE! I have some of their stamps but most of them are Halloween themed, so I didn’t use any on this card unfortunately. They have some super cute hearts that I wish I had picked up in enough time… But I’ve got my wish list building over there.

Jay Gee’s Nook is having a fun challenge, too! Create anything inspired by the photo below. I was inspired by the neutral colors…

And finally, the Lawnscaping Challenge – All About Love. I don’t know for sure how long my parents have been married (maybe close to 40 years), but they are the definition of love.

Thanks for stopping by!
