Oh MMMM GEEEEE! I don’t know how I didn’t know about this product! I stumbled across one of the kits at my local scrapbooking store and immediately bought it. I was intrigued beyond words! Allow me to introduce shrink plastic. Shrinky Dinks… Whatever you want to call them. This project kit is especially made with crafters in mind as it comes with a CD full of at least 200 images for you to print onto the specialty plastic paper that comes in the kit. No coloring required! It’s totally and completely coolness! I know, I know… Let me back up! HERE are all the project kits that are available right now ( I have linked to other sources which are more inexpensive below). What comes in the kit is: CD, Shrink Plastic Sheets, Samples sheets of clip art, directions… Now this kit is designed especially to be used with your printer. There are other shrink plastics on the market that are not and I will talk about that in another video. Yes, I said video because I have one to share with you today! You can watch it right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Here is one of the items I made using nothing but the shrink plastic and images from the disk that came in the kit! THIS is the kit I purchased for myself. I liked it because it had friends for all seasons, hence the name. I’ve got Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter covered to name a few… This could be an ornament for my Christmas tree.. A fun tag…. A pin….
And a few other shrink plastic items I made in the video! Love these!! These could be special gift tags, go on the front of a card, door hangars, pins, etc….
And here is a sneak of how you can use your clear stamps to create shrink plastic items! These were made by experimenting using the shrink plastic and Lawn Fawn… I got better and figured out some tips along the way so I will share this idea with you in another video….
That’s all for now! Have an awesome day!
super CUTE
I have to start out by saying how sweet your excitement is in the video. Your creations turned out so cute.
I LOVE how we can use heat tools with the plastic now.
When I was a kid we had to beg our Mom to let us use her oven to make these.
{let’s just say I have a 25 yr old and leave it at that. lol}
I have been meaning to try this again with my stamps and markers so I am excited to see that video too when you complete and share it.
Thanks so much!
Crafty hugs,
D~

My daughters, who are all in their 40s, loved using shrink plastic when they were kids. With so many rubber stamps available now it’s a great time to do some new projects.
I love how excited your are, Laurel! So much fun…I think I may have some of this shrink plastic here somewhere, and now I MUST dig it out! Thanks so much for the fun video and the reminder!
So super cute Laurel!
