Rolled Roses: Clean and Simple Card Making Day One

By Laurel on January 9, 2012

It’s the first day of the Clean and Simple Card Making Class! Today’s class features a few different sketches to choose from for inspiration! Lots of fun samples and a video to pave the way too! I knew instantly I wanted to do a red/white/black combo card using the new rolled roses die cut from my latest Simon Says Stamp order….  (see my haul video here with a coupon code).

 I chose this sketch:

Can’t wait to see what is in store for day two! I also was inspired by another sketch featured on today’s class, so I plan to work on that later this evening. I am going to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp NEW challenge and the Young Crafters Unite Clean and Simple Challenge! Fingers crossed!

I love the red and roses! The tiny hearts colored in are a nice touch. I want to play when I get home from work!

Lovely card Laurel. I got the same die and tried but my Roses weren’t so pretty. Did you use thin or thick paper:)

Nice take on the first day of class! Love the color you chose and those roses look great! I bought that die with the idea of using it with felt, but seeing how good they look with paper, I’ll have to give it a try!
