Revamped Lawn Fawn card and a DO OVER challenge for you!!

By Laurel on February 14, 2011

Have you ever made a card and just didn’t like it but posted it anyway? I have… All the time. But one specific comes to mind that I posted a few days ago here for the Wee Memories Challenge!  The more I looked at it, the more I realized  “I just don’t like this” – so I removed the picture from the post and challenge and changed it up. DO OVER TIME!!!! Using the exact same card, I just added some things to make it more balanced in my opinion. Let’s take a look at the before:

It just seems so unbalanced. It needed a frame or something. So, I took two colors of twine and twisted them together to create a frame, added some “string” so the lanterns appeared to be hanging from the twine and finally added a bow to one of the lanterns…. Here is the finished result.

So what do you think? Much better eeh? Which brings me to my challenge! Do you have a card that you wished you could do over? Is there a card you made that you just thought “oh, if only I had done that or if only I hadn’t used that paper” – Well, now is your chance! I challenge YOU to take the card and remake it by EITHER:

Revamp the exact same card like I did OR recreate your project entirely using the same stamps and idea, but maybe shifting the layout to make it more balanced or changing up the color, whatever you think!

Sound fun???? Why not throw a prize in there! I’ll throw in some wonderful crafting goodie to one lucky participant. Maybe something Papertrey Ink. Maybe some Cosmo Cricket or Basic Grey. The fun is in the mystery. If you decide to take me up on my challenge, I’d love to see it so just link it up below! And remember to take the before and after picture!

And thanks Wee Memories for putting up with me! Taking one card down, putting it back up! HA HA! I just love you guys!!!!

Love the changes you made to your card. It now has that little bit of extra umph. And yes, I probably have LOTS of cards I would love to do over. I’ll have to see if I have time for this one! Need to get all those tax papers together. YUK!

I liked the first card, but I can see how you might think the second one was more balanced. I have definitely re-done cards before…
