Red/White One Layer Christmas Card plus a few family pictures

By Laurel on December 5, 2010

Oh how I love making one layer cards…. I especially love this one. Red/White color combo (thanks Play Date Cafe Color Challenge)…  One of my favorite challenge sites, One Layer Wednesday, challenged us to go back to beginning, when we first started crafting…. What was one of your favorite techniques that really good you hooked? I think one of the first techniques I learned was dry embossing. I used a lot of embossing folders… I wanted to take it a step further this week and emboss the card front with one of my Spellbinders Nestabilities label die. I saw this done on a card recently and fell in love.. I WISH I remembered where so I could link it here….. I LOVE THIS.

Loving my Lawn Fawn Winter Bunny and of course, who doesn’t love red bakers twine?!? If you look carefully, the little bunny’s tail has some Liquid Pearls on it… So cute and poofy with a little bit of sparkle. I couldn’t forget about his scarf. Had to add some Glossy Accents so his scarf would shine!

Thanks for stopping by today……. We had a family photo shoot today… Better late than never trying to get the shot for our Christmas cards. While we were waiting, I snapped a few photos with my camera… And my husband got a shot of me. I remember questioning why I chose THAT outfit to wear for our family pictures…. I can see why… Oh well… 🙂 Have a great day…
