Rasberry Suite Color Challenge 12

This may be the 12th color challenge by Dawn McVey, but this is on my second time participating. Let’s hope this time, I didn’t forget any colors like I did the last time!!! 🙂 My husband just returned home from a 8 month deployment in Kuwait, so it was a no brainer to make a “welcome home” card for this challenge. Now, my husband is all man! He absolute will not wear pink. He will not pick up anything pink. When my son was one and was playing with a pink balloon, my husband found another color balloon and gave that to him and took away the pink one. When he was a baby, and the only clean bottle in the house had a pink rim, he would wash another bottle (even if it was at 2AM) and use that one! Seriously, I am for real! So, with that being said, I had to incorporate a bright pink because it was part of the challenge, but had to make it as minimal as possible. In case it is so minimal, I will spill the beans. It is the text “welcome home”, tee hee!!! Used my Scorpal for the dark red paper and Cuttlebug for flowers.

What a great card Laurel! I see you’ve been using your Cuttlebug. Fun, isn’t it! Your DH is just like mine. Nothing pink or girlie is allowed in this house unless it’s mine. My mom gave my son a Cabbage Patch doll once and it mysteriously went missing. DH just threw it out! He won’t hold my purse either. The other day I asked him to bring it in from the car because my hands were full. About an hour later our neighbor brought it to the door because it was sitting next to our car. DH had taken it out but refused to carry it into the house (and didn’t think to tell me this). Men!
