I have had the most terrible week. Amongst many things that have happened, my mother’s china cabinet was passed down to me. Applied a first coast of paint and noticed the paint did not adhere well. After making some calls, I concluded that the original coat of paint from years ago was painted with an oil based paint and I painted my coat with a latex paint.
That is a BIG no no!!! After many tears, my husband calmed me down and said it would be no problem to strip the paint! Well, that whole ordeal has been just AWFUL.
I am so worried I have ruined my mother’s china cabinet.
We had to call it a night tonight and I can not even allow myself to picture the state we left the cabinet in. It is in such a mess and we have a long road a head of us if we are even able to repair the damage. Very depressing. So to cheer me up, I participated in Dawn and Lauren’s challenge! I sat smack dab on the floor and crafted (my dining room table is filled with all the items from the cabinet so I can’t craft there, wah)
I used Lauren’s Timeless Template “Perfect Matchbox” and Dawn’s colors from her challenge to create this. I loaded it with Snickers! Seriously, who doesn’t like Snickers? They really do satisfy!!!!
Goodies:
Kraft cardstock, Decorative Paper, Marvy Punches, Papertrey Ink Vintage buttons, Papertrey Ink ribbon, SNICKERS!
Love those fun buttons! You did a great job with BOTH of these challenges!
How cute are you? What a great candy box. Way to rock Dawn’s color combo.
It’s a good life!

Have you gotten all of the paint off the china cabinet yet?
Nope. On hour 7. You are not allowed to see this piece until it is restored! 🙂
