Color Bursts Heat Embossing Techniques Water Coloring

Poinsettia Cards 3 ways

This Poinsettia Garden Cling Background stamp from The Ton is absolutely gorgeous, and all you need to make some quick Christmas cards. The stamp set (along with the rest of the release) is available for purchase today. I made three super easy cards using the same stamp. Let’s take a look at the first. I heat embossed the Poinsettia background stamp in Rose Gold embossing powder and then added a very little bit of Color Burst.

After I added A LOT of water to tone down the color burst colors, I heavily sprayed on some Perfect Pearls and added some flicks of white paint.  I filled in some of the berries with some Red Nuvo Crystal Drops. The sentiment was stamped onto some heavy weight vellum in Caviar ink.img_4265wtmk

This next one is super easy. I stamped the Poinsettia background onto white cardstock with Red Sangria ink and sprayed Rouge Chalk spray over the top!

I flicked on some pink texture spray and white paint and then stamped the sentiment with Hampton White ink and heat set with super fine white embossing powder. img_4276wtmk

And last but not least, I heat embossed the Poinsettia background with the Rose Gold embossing powder onto some red cardstock.

To add some shading, I colored in some of the images with a red copic marker. I added some shine by applying the Spectrum Noir Glitter pen over the top of the sentiment panel (from Scripty Holidays)

I will be back tomorrow with a few more projects from this collection!  I’m part of a super fun blog hop! I’ll have two card and one video! I have so many more projects I made with items from this release so I will be posting them over the next few weeks!
