Plaid and Florals. What a lovely combination! I chose some fun colors that I think work together nicely to create these two cards! This is a twofer, meaning I got two cards from one design! Let me explain!
This first card features the the Plaid Maker stamp set. I haven’t used it enough and I don’t know why because I had a blast creating this background! So it’s been moved into my “versatile background stamps” area….. How fun would this be with Christmas colors or fall colors or Valentines Day colors… You see where I am going with this?
Then I stamped the large floral from the Mondo Sakura stamp set onto some Vellum Cardstock using Icing on the Cake ink! Catherine Pooler inks stay wet a wee bit longer than most other inks so I was able to heat set this by sprinkling on clear embossing powder! I added some glue behind the floral center and adhered it down to the plaid background. And I am just in love with this!
When I die cut the floral I was left with the negative piece so I used that as a stencil. I blended some Bellini Ink thru the stencil, added some detail with a white pen and voila! Easy peasy.
