I LOVE the inspiration photo over at the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge… It’s shabby chique… I love the soft colors… I love everything about it…. So I just had to make a card for the challenge.
I started out by masking off a border on my card panel. I used just one stamp set for this card… The Bohemian Gardens stamp set designed by my friend Julie Ebersole. I stamped the floral images with distress inks (exact colors linked below) and then made sure a wet brush touched all of the flower to give it the watercolor look. As a finishing touch, I went in with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush in Sugared Almond Pink and colored in some areas of the flowers (its the bright pink color on the flowers). The “happy” is from the Merry and Bright die set and was die cut onto some sticky back canvas.
See those white flicks? Oh how I love this texture spray. I hope you will play along in the challenge! Head on over HERE for all the details. Here is the inspiration photo. See? Told you it was shabby chique!
