I Pick You Fruity Card

By Laurel on July 14, 2017August 8, 2017

A delicious card filled with lots of fruit – or in other words – a fruity card!!!  That’s a healthy choice for today right??? Put down those milk duds Laurel and have some fruit!

The I Pick You stamp set and coordinating die from Catherine Pooler released a few days ago – did you see? If you look closely in the teal background, you’ll see a wee bit of design… See it? That’s one of the new stencils, lol. A better look at one of the new stencils in the Checkerboard stencil used at the bottom of the card. I tinted some whipped spackle with some Rockin’ Red ink and then applied the spackle thru the stencil with a palette knife (butter knife, credit card, plastic knife, folded cardstock will work if you don’t have a palette knife) and love the raised dimension result.

I stamped and die cut loads of fruit and then piled them onto my card, adhering some down flat and others adhered with foam dimension. All the ink colors I used are from Catherine Pooler Inks (exact colors listed below in the supply list)! I added one sparkly strip of black cardstock because who doesn’t like sparkle. Speaking of sparkle. You got it! Added a bit of Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen to the fruit, lol.

Speaking of fruit. I like apples, clementines, grapes and strawberries. That’s about it. I like blueberry pancakes and muffins, but don’t like to eat blueberries by themselves, isn’t that weird? I used to like plums, but the juice kept getting all over my face, lol…. And back to bananas, I like them. BUT they have to have some green in them or I won’t touch them. I like that extra hit of flavor from the ripeness. Yep.

Thanks so much for spending some time with me today! It’s FRIDAY!!! I hope you have some fun plans!!!!!!

Hi Laurel ~ You crack me up. Can’t think of any fruits I won’t eat except that I’m totally with you on the banana thing. If there is one, single dot of brown….off to banana bread it goes. Good thing my hubby loves them after they’re starting to turn brown. LOL
I got my goodies from CPD today so I’m hoping to play this weekend. I’ve already used the Perfect Vine Stencil to cover up an oops on one of my cards and it worked out perfectly. Have an awesome weekend with the kiddos! ~HUGS~
